URANGO ON TARGET FOR UNIFICATION BATTLE AT 151 POUNDS A MONTH BEFORE MARCH 6 BOUT AGAINST ALEXANDER
class="text">HOLLYWOOD, FL, February 9 – WBC Welterweight Champion Juan Urango made weight easily on February 6th, tipping the scales at 151 pounds during the WBC’s mandatory 30 day weigh-in, which was held at XXX.

Urango, who faces unbeaten IBF 140-pound champion Devon Alexander in a highly anticipated unification bout on Saturday, March 6th at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut (HBO 9:30pm ET / PT), was required to weigh-in at 154 pounds or less 30 days out from the bout, according to WBC rules. But the hard-hitting native of Colombia (22-2-1, 17 KOs) came in three pounds under, showing just how well training camp is going for him.

“Training camp has been great and I feel like I’m in the best shape of my career,” said Urango. “I’m going to be stronger and faster than ever on March 6th, and even though it’s going to be a tough fight, I can’t wait to win another title belt.”
